Recipe to try: Air Fryer Fried Tortellini
Serves 6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 9 minutes
Ingredients
- 255g Three cheese tortellini
- 1 cup Panko or breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup Freshly grated parmesan
- ½ cup All-purpose flour
- ½ tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Dried basil
- Pinch Cayenne pepper
- Pinch Salt
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup Marinara sauce for dipping
Method
Step 1: Cover the tortellini with boiling water, and let stand until softened, about 5 minutes. Drain well. Gently blot the tortellini with paper towels to dry.
Step 2: Preheat the air fryer at 205°C for 5 minutes.
Step 3: In a bowl combine panko with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, basil, cayenne pepper, and salt, and stir well.
Step 4: Working in batches, dredge tortellini in flour, dip into eggs, then dredge in Panko mixture, pressing to coat.
Step 5: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil (or use parchment paper). Place the coated tortellini in the air fryer basket, making sure to not overcrowd the basket.
Step 6: Lightly spritz the tortellini.
Step 7: Air fry at approximately 175°C for 9 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the tortellini half way through cooking. Depending on the size of the tortellini and the make and model of the air fryer, you may need to add more time until the outside is crispy to your liking.
Step 8: Remove from the air fryer basket and enjoy with marinara sauce.

Recipe to try: Halloween Spider Web Pizza
Makes 1 (12-14” pizza)
Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 sticks whole-milk string cheese
- 12 large pitted black olives
- 1 ball pizza dough (up to 455g) (or use a ball of your favourite store-bought dough)
- ⅔ to ¾ cup Super-Easy Marinara Sauce (or your favourite store-bought pizza sauce)
Method
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 260°C (if using a baking sheet) or as high as it will go (if using a baking stone/steel; place the stone/steel in the oven before you start preheating).
Step 2: While the oven preheats, prep the spiderweb and spider toppings: Pull the string cheese into thin strips and set aside. Cut the olives in half lengthwise. Set 8 of the halves aside (these will be your spiders' bodies), and cut each of the remaining halves lengthwise into 4 equal-size strips (these will be the spiders' legs).
Step 3: Stretch or roll out your dough to a 12” to 14” circle, then transfer it to a baking sheet/pizza pan or a lightly floured pizza peel (if using a baking stone/steel). Prick the dough all over with a fork (this will prevent crust bubbles from messing up your spiderweb design).
Step 4: Spread the sauce on top of the dough, leaving a ½-inch border all around.
Step 5: Transfer the sauced dough to the oven. Bake just until the crust looks dry and is light golden in colour and the sauce is bubbling but not yet browned in spots, about 3 minutes on a stone/steel and 5 minutes on a baking sheet.
Step 6: Remove the pizza from the oven. Working as quickly as you can, arrange the strips of string cheese on the pizza in the shape of a spider web (watch the video for a step-by-step tutorial), then assemble the spiders wherever you like across the web (each spider gets an olive-half body and 8 olive slice legs).
Step 7: Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 3 to 5 minutes, until the cheese has just melted.
Step 8: Remove the pizza from the oven. Let cool slightly, then slice and serve.
