A Review: The Remington Limitless X7 Shaver in Action
A shaver can be quite a personal purchase, designed to meet each individual’s set of expectations and requirements. Whether it’s a quick shave every three weeks or a detailed styling of the moustache or sideburns, a shaver should meet all your grooming needs. Thankfully, our friend Luke from @vanlifestraya has given us a first-hand review of what it’s like to use one of Remington’s latest shavers, the Remington Limitless X7 Shaver. Throughout my life I’ve generally always been partial to a wet shave (just what I’m used too I guess!) but recently as I’ve been doing a lot of travelling, I’ve been wanting something just a bit easier that can get to work on my face straight away. Having heard good things about Remington shavers I recently got the new Remington Limitless X7 and was pretty eager to test it out.
The quick charge feature was what I was first pretty impressed with as I must have only plugged it in to charge for about a minute and managed to get a whole shave out of it from just that. That’s the kind of ease of use I’m after!
I also love that it comes with a click-on detail trimmer as this makes it much easier to finish off the sideburns in a neat way. I actually think it’d be quite tricky to get a nice straight finish without this little feature. The turbo mode is also really useful. I wasn’t sure how the shaver would tackle my longer hair but the fact you can give it a turbo boost to really clean up the thicker, longer stubble is really handy.
I was also quite surprised at how comfortable a shave it was. I’d heard that similar shavers can tug at the hair and it can actually be quite uncomfortable but the individual flexing blades and the comfort rings that the X7 comes with made it feel smooth and effortless. The comfort rings on this shaver means it offers 30% reduced friction, so I think that definitely helps in making it a smoother and more comfortable shave.
I was very happy with the end result of the shave as well. It’s gonna be much easier just to whip this out when I need a quick shave on all my upcoming travels.
