CES 2023 Highlights

Every January CES hosts thousands of people with hundreds of brands showcasing their latest technologies and product releases. The world’s most influential tech event, CES is where innovation and the future are celebrated, offering valuable insight into what will next become popular in stores and at home.

Some of our team were lucky enough to attend CES 2023 in Las Vegas and we’ve got the inside scoop to share with you.

LG: Wireless OLED TV

At CES 2023, LG showcased their first wireless 97” Signature OLED M3 TV. The TV was operating without wires. How? With a wireless transmitter box named the Zero Connect box. Placed across the room, the wireless transmitter box houses all the HDMI plugs and other connections required to connect to external devices like Blu-ray players and gaming consoles. All typical video inputs at the back of the TV’s body are gone. Any connections that are required are via the Zero Connect box as it beams video and audio signals to the TV, wirelessly.

It must be noted that this LG TV is still powered by the mains electricity, with its power cord intelligently designed and hidden in one of the TV’s stand legs. Concerns of disruptions to the transmitter’s connection is quashed, because like other technologies such as Wi-Fi routers; video from the Zero Connect box to the OLED M3 TV will be connected smoothly even with interference and people walking around the room.

The LG Signature OLED M3 TV heralds a new era in home entertainment. Minimalist by design, the TV can be mounted flat onto a wall or displayed on its stand with only one cord to be hidden, instead of a range of cords snaking around. The LG OLED M3 TV can also be connected to compatible soundbars wirelessly, delivering an immersive and cord-free home entertainment experience.
