Put to the test: Delonghi’s La Specialista Arte Evo

In our household, mornings don’t start unless there’s a fresh cup of coffee. We’ve been wanting to up our coffee game for a while now and after doing quite a bit of research, we were very happy to finally get our hands on a beautiful, brand new coffee machine – the Delonghi La Specialista Arte Evo Coffee Machine (EC9255.M).
On first appearance, this thing looks amazing. The barista accessories kit that is included with the coffee machine is of excellent quality and helped us to quickly put this new machine together and test out our first coffee. In the accessories kit, there’s everything you need, including the metal tamper, tamping mat, stainless steel milk jug and a dosing and tamping guide.
The La Specialista Arte Evo’s pre-set recipes (Espresso, Long Black, Cold Brew and Hot Water) makes it super simple to use, even for coffee novices like us. Within minutes we had our very first coffee and wow…where has this machine been all our lives? Even though we slightly messed up the milk (we need a little more steaming practice!) the end result was that the coffee still tasted amazing. The best we’ve ever had from a home machine, and even better than a lot of cafes we’ve been to!
The other amazing feature of this machine is the ability to make a cold brew in under 5 minutes. To be honest, I was a little bit skeptical as to how this would taste but I was very pleasantly surprised. When the warmer months come around, I think that we might start using the cold brew feature even more than the espresso, that’s how good it is.
I can’t wait to continue making coffees with this Delonghi La Specialista Arte Evo Coffee Machine. My latte art needs a lot of work but I’m excited to keep practicing as this is the perfect machine to create amazing home coffee.
